Photographs capturing Australia’s landscape, waterways and wildlife are being sought for a national competition.
The Nature Conservancy’s photo competition is open to photographers of all levels and aims to foster an appreciation of nature.
Prizes include a $2400 camera store voucher, weekend trip to Melbourne and a one-on-one workshop with one of the competition’s judges.
Director Rich Gilmore said it was a great opportunity to showcase what Australians saw in their environment. “We’re all surrounded by nature every day and this competition is a great chance for people to capture this beauty and properly appreciate it,” he said.
“You don’t have to be a photographer by trade to have a good eye; anybody can capture the perfect shot.”
The winners will have their work featured online and in Australian magazine Wild. Entries close November 4.
